Shakespeare: Selections, Scenes, Music & Mahem
July 26th and 27th


Visit Lambert Castle on July 25th and 26th and you will find yourself in Elizabethan times.  The PCHS will host ATC Studios' Summer Shakespeare Conservatory  for two performances at Lambert Castle - July 25th at 7 p.m. in the Castle Atrium, and July 26th at p.m. on the Castle lawn. The production features "Selections, Scenes, Music & Mayhem" from a vast assortment of Shakespeare's plays.  The performance will last less than an hour and a half.

For the Gallery performance on July 25th, tickets are $10 general admission. There is limited seating.  Call 862-243-ATCS (2827) for reservations. The Lawn performance on July 26th is FREE; donations, gratefuly accepted. Royalty Seating (Reserved Prime Lawn Space) is $10.00.

If you are attending the lawn performance, please bring beach chairs, lawn chairs or a blanket.

PCHS Concert Series

The Passaic County Historical Society is proud to announce the line-up for this year's concert series at Lambert Castle.  This year the series has been expanded, with more concerts added, as well as new genres of music.  Join us and enjoy performances by the Central Jersey Symphony Orchestra, the Clifton-Community Band and Blue Valley as well as many others.  Please see the event flyer for specific dates and more information. Clifton Association of Artists' Logo Art Association Exhibit
Wednesday, June 4th though Sunday, July 27th.


The Passaic County Historical Society will be exhibiting the Clifton Association of Artists' Summer Art Show on Lambert Castle's newly reopened third floor.  Having been in existence for over fifty years, the Clifton Association of Artists' is open to all artists, of all skill levels.  The Summer Art Show will showcase pieces in a variety of medias, including photography.  Meet some of the artists at Awards Day, June 14th at 12 p.m.  Regular museum admission applies.


Pancakes, Patties and Pies:  The History of the Silk City Diner Company of Paterson 
August 6th  though October 6th


Since the first American diner opened in 1872, diners have become an iconic representation of the American lifestyle.  This style of dining, with its comfort foods, distinct architecture and unique aesthetic has captivated generations.  

Learn how the Paterson Vehicle Company contributed to this phenomenon with their Silk City Diners.

August 14th though August 17th

Be sure to catch us and some of Passaic County's other museums and historical groups at this years Passaic County Fair, located in Garret Mountain Reserve, August 14th - 17th.
A free shuttle bus will take visitors from the fair to three local historical sites.  The itinerary for the bus tour is as follows:
4.00 p.m. - Leave Garret Mountain
4:10 p.m. - Arrive at Great Falls National Historic Park
4:25 p.m. - Depart for Botto House
4:35 p.m. - Arrive at Botto House
4:50 p.m. - Depart for Lambert Castle
5:00 p.m. - Arrive at Lambert Castle
5:15 p.m. - Return to Fair 


Federici Restoration Project

The Passaic County Historical Society is pleased to announce that we have nearly met our goal for restoring 27 Federici plaster pieces from our collection.  We have received over $14,000 in donations and restored 18 of the plaques and statues we plan to exhibit, but we need your help to complete this project.  For more details about the project, and to see which pieces are still in need of sponsorship, click here.
