Passaic County Historical Society does not hold any official Vital
Records such as birth certificates, marriage certificates and death
certificates. If you are looking for Vital Records, you
must contact the State Archives - http://www.state.nj.us/state/archives/.
|From mid-December through mid-October the PCHS Library is open for researchers to drop in (see schedule below); however, appointments are
strongly encouraged as they will allow our staff to better assist you
with your research needs.|

|Access to the museum is free for all members of
the Passaic County
Historical Society. Non-members are required to pay the museum
fee. This entitles them to a museum tour and use of the library.
PCHS Library encompasses a rich collection of materials related to the
history of cities and towns within Passaic County as well as an
body of genealogical information on thousands of families who lived
the county. The library contains approximately 2,800
